YEAR OF THE BOAR

I WAS SEARCHING ABOUT CHINESE ZODIAC SIGN..I FOUND OUT THAT IM A YEAR OF THE BOAR. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS THAT MEAN. HERE'S THE ANSWER.
The Year of the Boar is a time of licentiousness and fun. Since it closes the 12-year cycle, this is not an auspicious year for starting anything new but instead is a time for reaping benefits from past efforts, tieing up loose ends and finalizing deals. It also is a time of peace, understanding, harmony and friendship. Business should be good, at least for the first half of the year. Pleasure and enjoyment of the good life will be valued more than power and status. Family ties, relationships, social life and entertainment will be emphasized. There is a little less competition among people and a little more kindness. Expensive vacations, extravagent meals and impulsive, lavish spending on luxuries can be expected. (At the same time there are some good deals to be had as the Boar year is conducive to luxury travel at bargain prices.) People find it easier to ignore the bills that accumulate now, and the following Rat year will be the time to face reality after this year's gratifications. The Boar Year also symbolizes dangers surrounding water. There could be dramatic weather changes with catastrophic floods, storms and sea disasters. Perilous events will have a tendency to happen in the nighttime. Negotiations and treaties are the favored methods of political reconciliation this year, and peaceful resolution of conflicts are well-aspected. Hidden political intrigues and corruption will come to light, causing clashes of values over secrecy. Concealed information, with fantastic or possibly even extra-terrestrial origins, will be revealed. There will be more friction and agitation politically, particularly from authoritarian governments trying to impose their will on the people which may result in sudden leadership changes and dramatic rebellions. Sadly, assassinations of reporters, media personalities and/or environmental leaders are all a possibility. Some medical breakthroughs in viral diseases are predicted. The overindulgent Pig Year can bring obesity and sexual excesses, so all are advised to eat moderate, well-balanced meals, exercise regularly and practice some meditation for peace of mind. The Chinese believe that the Boar year brings good fortune for intellectuals as well as for financiers, with a particular spotlight on women in all enterprises. Although certain minor administrative difficulties may crop up, this is predominantly a time of surplus and an opportunity to savor the joy of living. This is a great year to marry and raise a large family. However, those already attached should guard against extra-marital relationships. Impulsive acts of generosity are to be avoided.

DIFFERENT KIND OF SKIN

Dry Skin:
There are a small percentage of people who actually have dry skin on their face, these people will be dry on the cheeks and jawline. Many of these patients work outside in rough elements, and many of these people are over 50 years of age. For these patients a creamy moisturizer in a lotion or cream is very effective. If they do not have sensitive skin, they can wear whatever products feels good. The reason for the paucity of dry skin on the face, is that there is an abundance of sebaceous glands on the face to prevent dryness. These are particularly active in young people, in men, and in many normal women. If a person is scaly in the center of the face central forehead, around the nose, and on the central chin, this may be seborrheic dermatitis. The use of a heavy moisturizer in people who have central facial dandruff (seborrheic dermatitis) could lead to acne.

Normal - Combination Skin:
Most people have oily skin on the forehead, nose, and chin (called th T-zone), and dryer skin on the cheeks and neck. When the humidity is low, it may be necessary to moisturize the face. The most prudent of patients ,male or female, will select a non-comedogenic moisturizer which contains a minimum SPF of 15 in it for daily use. There are legions of such products reasonably priced, which will prevent cancer and photoaging.

Moisturizers - Body Skin:
Because there are very few sebaceous (oil) glands on the arms and legs, moisturizers are very important. Winter, dry climates, and windy climates are very hard on the skin of the body. Many body lotions incorporate sunblocks for a daily routine. This is very important for sun exposed skin. Often heavy moisturizers such as petrolatum Aquaphor, Cetaphil cream, Neutrogena Norwegian Formula, and other Jar or tube moisturizers are needed for dry climates. What may be appropriate for facial skin may be too thin for the arms, legs, hands, and feet.

ARKANSAS HISTORY

Arkansas, state in the United States, classified as one of the west south central states. The term is appropriate, for west, south, and Midwest states seem to meet in Arkansas. The southwestern section of the state, with its cattle and oil fields, has the feeling of the Western Plains. Dairy farms and orchards in the northwest seem more akin to parts of the Corn Belt, while the cotton plantations in the east toward the Mississippi River are reminiscent of the Deep South.

Arkansas’s natural resources are abundant water; vast forests of quick-growing pines and valuable hardwoods; and extensive deposits of oil, natural gas, and many other minerals.

Arkansas entered the Union on June 15, 1836, as the 25th state. Until the 1950s Arkansas was primarily an agricultural state. Farming was the chief source of income, but a meager source for many, particularly in the uplands, and many people left Arkansas in search of a better livelihood. Then, Arkansas, aided by coordinated planning and new developments in transportation and power production, began to industrialize very rapidly. By the end of the 1950s manufacturing had surpassed farming as the chief source of income, and in the late 1990s Arkansas had an economy dominated by the manufacturing and service sectors. Tourism has also become important.

The state's nickname is The Natural State to call attention to the beauty of its natural environment. The name Arkansas comes from Arkansa, the French name for Native Americans of the Quapaw tribe and the region they inhabited. The s was added as a plural, though it remains silent in the pronunciation formally adopted by the state’s legislature. Little Rock is the capital and largest city of Arkansas.

FLORIDA HISTORY

Florida, state in the southeastern United States, bordering the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, which is an arm of the ocean. Florida, sometimes called the Peninsula State, consists of a large low-lying peninsula and, in the northwest, a strip of land known as the panhandle. It is a region of low, rolling hills, vast swamps and marshes, numerous lakes, and extensive forests. Superimposed on this varied pattern of physical features are the farmlands, urban areas, transportation routes, and other cultural features that have transformed Florida from largely a wilderness area into one of the fastest-growing states in the Union. Florida entered the Union on March 3, 1845, as the 27th state. Beginning in the late 1800s development schemes brought a tide of new arrivals to the state, and the story of Florida since has been one of nearly continuous growth.

Between 1950 and 1970 Florida’s population experienced a phenomenal increase of 145 percent. Between 1970 and 1980 the population increased by another 43.4 percent, and by 32.7 percent between 1980 and 1990. Much of this increase was attributed to the large influx of people from elsewhere rather than natural increase. Many were people who had retired. Many were refugees from Cuba. Others came to work in the state’s new and expanding industries and to share in its general economic growth.

Tourism has been Florida’s major source of income for many years. Although it initially attracted visitors from the Northeastern states during the winter months, it is now a year-round vacationland visited by tourists from every state, Latin America, and also from Canada and other foreign countries. The state’s tourist attractions range from the vast expanse of the Everglades in the south to the historic cities of Saint Augustine and Pensacola in the north. The most popular attractions are the theme parks around Orlando and the many resort cities that rim the coast. Their importance is reflected in the distribution of the state’s inhabitants, most of whom live in cities along the coast or in a corridor stretching between Tampa and Daytona Beach and including Orlando. While Jacksonville on the northern Atlantic shore is the state’s largest city in population, the state’s largest metropolitan area centers on Miami, near the southern tip of the state. Tallahassee, in the panhandle, is Florida’s capital.

The Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de León called the region La Florida, roughly translated as Land of the Flowers, when he visited it in 1513. It is thought that he chose this name because he was impressed by the many colorful flowers of the region and because he sighted it on Easter, which is called Pascua Florida in Spanish. The state’s official nickname, the Sunshine State, reflects the economic importance of its climate, which has been called its most important natural resource. Among the other nicknames, all unofficial, are the Everglade State and the Orange State, for its most renowned crop.

DAVAO CITY PHILIPPINES

Davao is a province capable of arousing interest or curiosity. The cultural diversity and traditions; the mountainous region marked with rolling hills and fertile valleys. The alluring orchid called the waling-waling, the intriguing endangered Philippine Eagle, whose sanctuary is at the foot of Mt. Apo, Philippine highest mountain. The harmonious relationship between its neighboring provinces influenced by ethnic and cultural ties have made Davao the window to the island of Mindanao. In the early stage, ethnic tribes lived together harmoniously, in peace and friendship like the Bagobos, Mandayas, Manobos, Mansakas and Tiboli and others. They were the ones that gave the province a name from the word “daba-daba”, now Davao. It is because of its abundance of natural resources Davao has also attracted neighboring provinces and settlers. Despite its differences in culture and tradition people have live together in peace and harmony, makes Davao unique!Davao is a melting pot for all culture; its geography and surroundings, the piece of history, the diversity of culture and tradition, the gathering and festivities like the Kadayawan Festival makes Davao City inviting and exciting to visit. Competition
Perennial Best Buys Honda Accord and Toyota Camry continue to shine with refinement, model diversity, and comfort. Both come in coupe and sedan form, offer economic 4-cylinder or sporty V6 power, have room for four adults, and are reasonably priced.Recommended models include the smooth Buick Century, the import-flavored Chevy Malibu, the sporty Nissan Maxima, surprising Olds Intrigue, and the good-looking Pontiac Grand Prix. All come with V6 power, offer lots of standard equipment, and have pleasing road manners that will suit a variety of driving styles. If you are looking for something a touch bigger without spending a whole lot more we suggest the Budget Buy Chevy Impala. It's the largest car in this class, has a powerful V6, and doesn't cost any more than the others.
News
Grand Prix is Pontiac's second most popular line after the Grand Am--and is somewhat more popular lately. Though sales were basically flat in the first four months of 2000, Grand Prix scored a 20.5-percent year-to-year increase in calendar '99, pretty impressive considering today's ultra-competitive market.Industry spies say Grand Prix will be redesigned for 2003, moving to a new "mid-luxury" General Motors platform now in development. The '03 is said to be slightly wider outside and roomier inside than the current W-body car, but the same should also hold for the '03 Chevy Impala and Olds Intrigue to be built on the same foundation.

MY DOG ASTRO...JACK RUSSELL TERRIER HISTORY

History of the Jack Russell Terrier Jack Russell Terriers are a type, or strain, of working terrier; they are not pure bred in the sense that they have a broad genetic make-up, a broad standard, and do not breed true to type. This is a result of having been bred strictly for hunting since their beginning in the early 1800's, and their preservation as a working breed since. The broad standard, varied genetic background based on years of restricted inbreeding and wide outcrossing, and great variety of size and type, are the major characteristics that make this strain of terrier known as a Jack Russell (a.k.a. Parson Jack Russell Terrier®) such a unique, versatile working terrier.

The Jack Russell Terrier takes it name from the Reverend John Russell who bred one of the finest strains of terriers for working fox in Devonshire, England in the mid-to-late 1800's. Rev. Russell (1795-1883), apart from his church activities, had a passion for fox hunting and the breeding of fox hunting dogs; he is also said to be a rather flamboyant character, probably accounting for his strain of terrier's notability and the name of our terrier today. His first terrier, the immortal TRUMP, is said to be the foundation of John Russell's strain of working terriers. Everything about the Jack Russell has fox hunting in mind .... coloring, conformation, character, and intelligence. The body is compact, of totally balanced proportions, the shoulders clean, the legs straight, and most importantly, a small chest (easily spannable by average size hands at the widest part behind the shoulders). The Jack Russell must also be totally flexible, allowing him to maneuver underground. This conformation allows the terrier to follow his quarry down narrow earths. The fox is a good model for the Jack Russell-where the fox can go, so must the terrier. Although originally bred for fox hunting, the Jack Russell is a versatile working terrier to a variety of quarry including red and grey fox, raccoon and woodchuck. John Russell maintained his strain of fox terriers bred strictly for working, and the terrier we know of today as the Jack Russell is much the same as the pre-1900 fox terrier. The Jack Russell has survived the changes that have occurred in the modern-day Fox Terrier because it has been preserved by working terrier enthusiasts in England for more than 100 years; it has survived on its merits as a worker. It is the foremost goal of the JRTCA that the Jack Russell continues in that tradition.

BREED OF MY DOG ASTRO..JACK RUSSELL TERRIER

The Jack Russell Terrier:
A Working Dog The Jack Russell is a happy, bold, energetic dog; they are extremely loyal, intelligent and assertive. Their greatest attribute is their working ability, closely followed by their excellent qualities as a companion. A Jack Russell can be equally contented bolting a fox or chasing a toy in your living room, or equally adept at killing a sock in the living room or a rat in your barn. Their funny antics will continually amuse you, their intelligence seems to know no bounds and their assertive nature and boundless energy can at times be overwhelming.
Jack Russell Terriers love to dig. You might want to say goodbye to your flower bed. They can also dig under, climb or jump over fences; some can climb trees and any height chain link fencing. The traits and skills that make them excellent hunting dogs (i.e., digging, barking, aggressive nature) are often interpreted as bad habits that cause people to give them up.
